About Organic Mattresses, Pillows and Bedding...

White Lotus Home knows how hard it is to pick the right bedding and with the growth awareness of the great need to save the Earth, you now have more things to consider. We recommend asking as many questions as possible before you buy any organic or natural bedding. By this day and age, it is probably obvious to most of our customers that a traditional mattress can have 100s of different chemicals in them. White Lotus Home only uses organic and natural fibers to handcraft its natural and organic bedding. Our bedding is handcrafted in the USA by Americans and we use only US grown 100% organic cotton, buckwheat hulls and fabrics for our Organic mattreses, pillows and bedding. We only use US grown GREEN cotton, wool, kapok and cotton fabrics for our natural bedding products.

Unfortunately, there are no current standard to identify  what a NATURAL  and ORGANIC bedding  is.  Green washing has become a way  that some traditional companies are claiming their products are GREEN. Please ask questions, ask not only what the company is doing to be green but also how are all the products used to make what they call NATURAL and ORGANIC bedding, GREEN and good for your home environment and the Earth. We have a lot of this informatioh under our FAQs whitelotus.net/Page-25.html area but I am sure there is a lot of information on the web that may be helpful. I suggest looking for information from the OTA.com and www.sustainablecotton.org/html/cotton.html

PS: White Lotus Home does offer 100% Organic Cotton mattresses, pillows and bedding handcrafted in the USA by Americans.

Thank you for considerting to save the Earth while you sleep!

Both of my kids have slept on organic mattresses from birth!!! I purchased a natural crib mattress from White Lotus Home (www.whitelotus.net) when my first child was born, then once he got a little older we purchased for him a twin natural cotton mattress. 5 years later I had my second child and repurchased another crib mattress for him. Both of my children have had minimal sleeping issues. They both slept through the night after the first 3 months!!! I am also so happy that White Lotus Home makes puddle pads and organic crib sheets because I can go to one place to get all the bedding items for my kids and family! I wouldn't have my kids sleep on anything different! Thanks White Lotus!!!

Other ways to make sure you have picked the right organic mattress, is to make sure you know your needs. Why are you looking for an organic mattress? Here are some reasons we hear about at White Lotus. I want to but an organic mattress because: -I am allergic to traditional mattress -I like to support the organic movement -I am green at heart and prefer to have a green mattress -I am worried about the health of my child and I want him/her on an organic mattress -I have chemical sensitivities etc... Once we identify why folks want an organic mattress, we suggest all the options that apply and the options are no always 100% organic. We also recommend getting FREE fiber samples from us in order for the client to be able to see if they have any negative reactions. We sell actual small samples of our pillows and mattresses right here on our website, for minimal cost this has helped our customers make intelligent decisions when choosing their best White Lotus Organic Mattress. Someone posted a note about getting organic bedding from other places, hey we know that White Lotus Home is not the only great handcrafters of organic and natural mattresses and bedding but I ask that you check credentials. BE CAREFUL! Products that are made from overseas may need to be sprayed with chemicals in order to meet border control laws, therefore making those products not so organic anymore.

I really love the Purist line of organic bedding from SDH. They don't use any chemicals or dyes and the processing is very environmentally friendly. For me, sleeping in something so natural is much more relaxing. I found great pricing on SDH bedding at http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/SDH-Bedding.htm

One of the best way to see if a mattress is right for you is to check it out in person. If you’re local to New Brunswick, we encourage you to visit our showroom, speak with our staff, and find a good fit for you. You can also check out the retailer section of our website (insert link) and find a showroom close to you that carries our products. If you’re unable to visit in person, the next best bet is to determine what’s important to you. If you’ve had allergic responses to latex and wool, you might want to consider our non-boric Green Cotton Mattress. With a doctors note, we can create a chemical free all natural sleeping solution that won’t produce the reaction you might have gotten from a non-natural latex/wool mattress. If you’d like to add some softness, you might want to check out our wool toppers. With 100% virgin New Zealand wool, you won’t get the chemicals you find in other wool products, and you’ll also get the softness you’re looking for. And as always, it’s never a bad idea to give us a call @ 732-828-2111 so that our staff can further assist you with any additional questions you might have.

I recently was looking at a latex/wool mattress. Had an allergic (respiratory) reaction to it. Was sent to this website by the salesperson. Problem is, I have never yet met a futon I felt was comfortable. They are always hard and lumpy. So is there a solution anywhere? I am afraid to spend a lot of money on a mattress that I cannot return.
